Mark Mendola opened Huerto Restaurant and Tequila bar in October 2013. He wanted to create something special. A restaurant that would be fresh and festive, with an inviting atmosphere and a casual setting. A restaurant that would be moderately priced and offer outstanding food and drinks. A restaurant that people can visit and enjoy with their family and friends. Well, Mark certainly accomplished those goals — Huerto is the place!
Matt McDowall, Huerto’s General Manager, manages the day to day operations. Matt has extensive experience managing different Mexican restaurants and bars. Mark is a business executive in the community, with a passion for the restaurant industry and an appreciation of fine tequila.
The name “Huerto” is derived from “orchard” in Spanish. The feeling of an orchard is captured through the beautiful decor, atmosphere and landscaping that surrounds and are part of the restaurant. Since opening, customers, media and restaurant critics have all raved about the food, the drinks and the ambiance.
The restaurant has the capacity to seat up to approximately 350 guests. This banquet area accommodates up to 100 guests. The covered and heated patio seats approximately 80 guests (season permitting). The main dining and bar areas seat approximately 145 guests.
